IJMO Overall Champion | 學生榮獲IJMO總冠軍，再次展現數學才華

　　On December 11, Y2 student Leo Kuang was awarded the Overall Champion in the International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO), demonstrating his math talent and strength.

　　12月11日，來自Y2的學生，Leo Kuang在國際數學奧林匹克競賽(IJMO)中榮獲總冠軍，再次展示了他在數學領域的才華和實力，并在2023年的尾聲為學校的榮譽添上了濃墨重彩的一筆。

　　“I love Maths because I’ve found many interesting facts inside. I did many types of questions, such as Pigeonhole Problems, Excess and Shortage Problems, etc. I’m ready for the AMO on November 1st, which is a competition from America. I’m a bit happy and a bit excited and a bit nervous, because I don’t want to have silver again and again. I will study math in my whole life.”

　　“我喜歡數學是因為我發現里面蘊含了許多的妙趣。在競賽中，我做了許多不同類型的奧數題目，如“鴿巢原理”和“過剩和短缺”的題目等等。我已經準備好參加今年11月的AMO美國數學奧林匹克競賽。對于即將到來的競賽，我感到有一點開心、興奮且緊張，因為我希望能取得更好的成績。并且我將會終生學習數學!”

　　In the competition, students from different countries and regions competed fiercely. Leo achieved excellent results with all the participants due to his outstanding maths skills and unique problem-solving ideas.

　　在今年的IJMO競賽中，來自不同國家和地區的學生們進行了激烈的角逐。Leo憑借出色的數學技能和獨特的解題思路，在比賽中均取得了優異的成績。

　　The International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO) is Singapore's top math competition and one of the world's most influential math competitions. It aims to provide a global platform for students to interact and compete against worthy opponents. IJMO is the ideal platform to showcase every student's potential and talent in math. To be eligible for participation in IJMO, only SASMO and AMO Gold and Silver awardees from each country are selected annually to represent their country.

　　國際青少年數學奧林匹克競賽(IJMO)是新加坡頂尖的數學競賽，同時是全球范圍內最具影響力的數學競賽之一，旨在激發青年學生對數學的興趣和熱愛，培養他們的數學思維和解決問題的能力。IJMO比賽的參賽學生群體是對數學有濃厚興趣與天賦的學生。參賽者必須在SASMO或AMO中獲得銀牌以上方可參賽資格。

　　IJMO empowers students with deep conceptual understanding and logical thinking skills beyond grade level. The competition effectively stretched every student’s potential beyond grade level, allowing them to apply much higher-level logical and analytical skills better to solve challenging Math Olympiad problems. Questions in IJMO are carefully designed to develop every student’s higher level of conceptual understanding and logical thinking skills.

　　IJMO要求學生具備超越年級水平的概念理解和邏輯思維能力，同時有效地激發每位參賽者的潛能，讓他們能夠以更好的邏輯和分析技能來解決具有挑戰性的奧數問題。IJMO 中的問題經過精心設計，培養每個學生更高層次的理解和邏輯思維能力。
